Despite being a key player in the Maldivian logistics industry, Maldives Ports Limited recognized the potential gaps in their identity: first, the visual elements feel dated and second, the brand is disconnected from the key stakeholders. MPL, since being formed 39+ years ago, has aspirations to become a technologically advanced, efficient and world class organization. The leading port in the Indian ocean.
The Solution
To position MPL as a modern, digital and innovative organization, we crafted a new visual identity. The logo and the visual system was developed by incorporating elements that symbolizes connectivity, technology and the unique geography of the Maldives. Thereby, the color palette was inspired by nature. The social media strategy and website was redeveloped to showcase its modern approach, featuring interactive maps of port facilities, real-time shipping data, and stories of team members. Our goal was not just to create a new visual identity; we relentlessly sought transformation that would be impactful. We redesigned the company uniforms integrating industry standard safety features. This ensures that safety and well being of the employees remains a priority. The new brand highlighted MPL's commitment to sustainable practices, showcasing investments in green technologies and environmental protection measures.
