Overview

The Hankede Integrated Tourism Development Project is the first-ever initiative of its kind in the Maldives, aimed at transforming the tourism landscape. We were tasked with creating a unique branding that highlights its connection to the vibrant Addu City and its people. The brand concept emphasizes the distinct aspects of Addu Atoll, including its exclusive flora and fauna, capturing the essence of the region's natural beauty and cultural richness.

The Challenge

Creating a distinct visual identity for the Hankede, an integrated tourism project in Addu City.

The Solution

By incorporating the elements Sun, Sea, Palm trees and Dhondheeni (a bird species unique to Addu City), we created a compelling logo for Hankede and a vibrant color palette that differentiates Hankede from other tourist destinations. The visual branding consists of patterns and a complimentary icon system designed to facilitate the creation of custom digital templates. In addition to that, we selected an intricate font system, merchandise, and business cards for the brand. The visual system created is designed in such a way that it can be consistently applied across various platforms and marketing materials.
